Public comment policy on selectmen’s agenda for Jan. 17

On the agenda, in addition to approval of minutes and public comment, is:

• Discussion and possible action on an the board’s new policy on public participation at selectmen meetings,

• Discussion and approval of tax refunds as recommended by Christine Calvert, tax collector,

• Discussion and approval of an authorizing resolution between the town and the state Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection for an emergency management performance grant program application for the period from Oct. 1, 2012 to Sept. 30, 2013.

• Discussion and appointment of counsel to represent the Easton Planning and Zoning Commission, et al in a complaint filed by Angelo Magliocco.

• Discussion and update on the animal shelter project.

• Discussion and possible action on an ordinance providing for the abatement of real property taxes for surviving spouses of police officer and firefighters. The Easton Board of Selectmen will meet tonight, Jan. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Conference Room A
