A dense fog advisory is in effect until 10 this morning and a high wind watch is in effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, through the night, according to the National Weather Service, for southern Connecticut.
Visibility of one-quarter of a mile or less at times this morning in Easton and the area.
The day will be cloudy with showers likely, mainly after 3. The high today will be near 56. Winds will be 6 to 11 mph, with gusts up to 30 mph.
Winds from the south at 20 to 25 mph are expected, with gusts up to 60 mph, especially overnight. The high wind watch is in effect from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday.
The winds will be accompanied by rain, with thunderstorms possible after midnight. The low will be around 46.
Train service is reported as “good” by Metro-North.
