Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night Walk set for Oct. 27

Stephen’s team walked in honor of their friend Billy Rusillo who lost his battle to blood cancer last year and raised more than $50,000 for the campaign.

The Connecticut Westchester Lower Hudson Valley Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) has announced Stephen B. Rosen, principal of Rosen & Company, Inc. as the Corporate Walk Chair of its 2018 Light The Night fundraising event held each fall to find cures and provide access to treatments for blood cancer patients. The Corporate Walk Chair for Fairfield County (CT) will lead the effort in accelerating corporate support and driving revenue growth for Light The Night. Raveis Ride + Walk to benefit Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation

The William Raveis Charitable Fund (WRCF) announces The Wailers, reggae band formed by the late Bob Marley, will perform at the fourth annual Raveis Ride + Walk, which is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 30 at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk. This marks the first time the community fundraising event will include a concert in their program. The proceeds from this family-friendly event benefit the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation. Redding teen creates first Unified Drama program at Barlow

Since she was in the sixth grade, 17-year-old Kaitlyn Siedman has loved the theater. “I think theater is always a great option for everyone,” said Kaitlyn, of Redding, who will be a senior at Joel Barlow High School in the fall. “It creates a big family feeling and it’s really good for self-confidence.” Having worked for many years with special needs children, Kaitlyn wanted to make it possible for all students, regardless of their disability, to share in her passion for the theater. Operation Hope’s annual “Really Big” Tag Sale will be held Saturday, Aug. 18, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and Sunday, Aug. 19, from noon-4 p.m., at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road, Fairfield.
