Easton Volunteer Emergency Medical Service has honored Josh Meszaros, EMT, with the Dedicated Service Award. The award was named in honor of the spirit and dedication of Marge Smith, who served as president and chief of service from 1979 until 2011. Smith continually worked behind the scenes to promote, protect, fundraise and recruit for Easton EMS.

Following in his father’s and brother’s footsteps, Meszaros began his service at the Easton EMS as an emergency medical responder in 2014.

Meszaros completed his studies and training and became an emergency medical technician) in June.

“I enjoy serving as an EMT because I love making a difference in people’s lives,” Meszaros said. “I also enjoy the camaraderie between the Easton EMS members and the fun we have when not on calls.”

The Dedicated Service Award was announced at the annual picnic.

Easton EMS congratulates and appreciates Meszaros’s outstanding service and dedication.
