The Easton Courier was founded in 1973.
The Courier is part of HAN Network, a community news and multimedia firm, which includes local papers, daily websites, specialty publications, and events in more than 20 communities in southwestern Connecticut, Lewisboro, N.Y., and Vermont. This gives our readers easy access to regional news and events as well as exposure to advertisers from across the region. The firm also owns Trumbull Printing in Trumbull, CT.

Nancy Doniger, Editor
Nancy Doniger became editor of The Easton Courier in 2012 after beginning as Monroe Courier editor at Hometown Publications in 1996 and becoming managing editor in 2002. After Hersam Acorn Newspapers purchased Hometown Publications in 2007, she continued with the company and began her stint as Easton Courier editor in April 2012. Ms. Doniger served on the board of the New England Newspaper and Press Association from 2008 to 2011 and is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists. She won a “Going above and beyond” award from the Regional Youth Adult Social Action Partnership (RYASAP) in 1999 for a series of articles on youth and adult partnerships. Rocco Valluzzo, Sports Editor
Rocco Valluzzo has been sports editor of The Easton Courier since 2008. He graduated from Fairfield University with degrees in English and politics and was previously sports editor of the Bethel Home News. He has been sports editor of The Weston Forum since 1995 and The Redding Pilot since 1990, both sister papers of The Courier.
